What is Rejuran?

Rejuran is an established skincare treatment from South Korea. They are known primarily for their flagship product, Rejuran Healer (now known simply as Rejuran).

Over time, Rejuran has adapted variants of the core ingredient PN (polynucleotides), to suit each condition so that you get better results while still using the same powerful active ingredient.The injection improves skin dullness, roughness, wrinkles, open pores, dark eye circles, and uneven pigmentation, allowing it to better withstand accelerated ageing caused by lifestyle pressures and environmental assaults.

What is Polynucleotides(PN)?

Polynucleotides, which are DNA fragments extracted and purified from salmon fish is excellent in promoting skin cell repair and stimulating collagen production by increasing proliferation of fibroblasts.

Generally, it helps to create more favourable physiological conditions for the growth of skins cells, improve skin suppleness, elasticity and tonicity.

You are probably wondering what has collagen got to do with this?

How does it work?

Collagen is an essential component of the skin's structure. It keeps your cells bound together. And when cells are damaged, it sets about to repair them.

When we are younger, the collagen easily repairs scars and fine lines giving us a naturally youthful look. But as we age, our collagen production slows. This slowing allows wrinkles, scars and pigmentations to show more prominently on your skin.

As you age, the amount of collagen in your body decreases. With less "glue", your skin will grow loose, thinner and get more wrinkly.

What Is The Procedure Like?

With the exception of Skin Booster, Rejuran treatments are generally injected via an injection gun or by manual injections using a very thin needle. The injection method will depend on your skin condition. Your doctor will be able to explain to you.

As Skin Booster contains c-PDRN (a smaller molecule variant of PN), it can be administered via microneedling or Lasers

The entire process might take 30 – 60 minutes, depending on the type of treatment and the treatment area. Areas with thinner skin, near the eyes and lips, might be a little more uncomfortable when being injected.

While you might feel a little discomfort during the injections, the only side effects you might have are needle marks. These marks will disappear within a few days. There should be little to no, long term side effects.

Is Rejuran Safe?

The answer lies in our DNA.

Research has found that human DNA is compatible with salmon DNA when it comes to healing treatments. What makes Rejuran rather safe for direct use as an injectable, is the fact PN is derived from salmon. Rejuran Injectable is delivered directly to the dermal layer of the skin via injection. Unlike dermal fillers that add volume and contours to the face, it is an injectable substance that works by repairing and healing skin damage. Its results will not be as immediate as fillers - gradual changes are expected after 3 to 4 treatments. By the end of the treatments, you will experience improved hydration and better elasticity of the skin.

Rejuran-S

Best suited for banishing acne scars

Rejuran-S has a higher concentration of Polynucleotide (PN). It has the highest viscosity compared to other types of Rejuran. It is more suited for smoothening out acne scars.

Rejuran-S targets scarred areas with dense tissue. It helps to treat acne scars, chickenpox scars and any other depressed scars. In some cases, it has helped treat stretch marks. Its gel-like consistency will be injected deeper within the dermis than other forms of Rejuran to fill and lift depressed scar areas.

Rejuran-I

Rejuran-I has a lighter form of viscosity than the other forms of Rejuran. It is a newer and more concentrated type of PDRN specially formulated for the under-eye area. It has anti-inflammatory effects to reduce puffiness of the eyes and the appearance of dark eye circles.

The main use of this is to be easily applied and absorbed around areas with delicate skin without causing lumps and bumps.

Rejuran-I is a smoother formula compared to the Rejuran skin boosters. If your eyes are a particularly troublesome area for you, this is the Rejuran for you. Our ageing easily shows up around our eyes and can be difficult to solve using traditional cosmetics. Rejuran Skin Booster

Revitalize dehydrated skin while reinforcing the skin's protective barrier

Unlike the other forms of Rejuran, Rejuran Skin Booster is a 2-step treatment kit that doesn't require any injections. The first vial consists of c-PDRN (the essential skin improvement activator) and hyaluronic acid, which plays a vital role in skin hydration and enhances the effect of c-PDRN. The second vial contains amino acids, which are essential building blocks of collagen and elastin fibres within the skin. Microneedling and Laser can be used instead of the injection method due to the smaller molecular weight.

Rejuran skin booster has 3 application options - nano needleless (painless), stamping needling and Cryocel Electrophoresis or micro-needling. Compared to the conventional PN, molecules in Rejuran Skin Boosters are slightly smaller, so the absorption is relatively easy.

Which Rejuran is Suitable for Me?
